Custom Designs

Designs drawn around your space.

A custom design request begins with your room and your requirements. We develop a concept in drawings so the piece is understood before any decisions are final.

Process

How a design request works

  1. Conversation

We start with a call or a message. You describe the room, how the piece will be used, and any dimensions or constraints you already know.

  2. Direction

We suggest a direction for proportion, material, and detail, and note what still needs to be decided before drawing.

  3. Drawings

We prepare design drawings with dimensions and material notes so the piece can be reviewed clearly before anything is committed.

  4. Revisions

You review the drawings and we adjust size, edge profiles, base design, or finish direction until the concept fits the space.

What we look at

Design considerations

  • Room and circulation

Clearance around a table matters as much as the table itself. We work from the room outward.

  • Use over time

A table used daily is drawn differently than one used occasionally. Use shapes the details.

  • Material character

Species, grain direction, and finish direction change how a design reads once built.

  • Existing furniture

We consider the pieces already in the room so heights and tones sit together comfortably.
